Starting on my character arc. Long story short, this scene is the overthrowing of the Felidi leaders by lions and stronger cats who are tired of hunger due to the changing weather during 8888BC. They have blamed their bad fortune of the diversity in ruling and are tired of following the advice of "weaker animals". They believe it's a time for change and for natural law to rule. The lionesses in the background are torn as they were never told the usurping would end in violence and death.
