I need to redo the layout for the top one. It is not completely consistent in the flow. And also need to redo the snow leopard head on the bottom but this is comic 2 of sabre's arc and comic one of halcyon's.

Starting on my character arc. Long story short, this scene is the overthrowing of the Felidi leaders by lions and stronger cats who are tired of hunger due to the changing weather during 8888BC. They have blamed their bad fortune of the diversity in ruling and are tired of following the advice of "weaker animals". They believe it's a time for change and for natural law to rule. The lionesses in the background are torn as they were never told the usurping would end in violence and death.

Somewhat art blocked right now. Did some real life acrylics and digital art rage. Still art blocked but at least being productive sorta. Raged the tree and general colors. Smooshed and made details in photoshop. Don't like the leopard but didn't give him much love anyways. Will do more detailed, longer, polished work in a bit.

For a test I drew and colored a scene out of my comic, but I'm deciding not to have his face as adult as this picture. Most likely during this stage of the story the cats will all be slightly awkward yearling felines. I would need to make them longer limbed, skinnier with slightly smaller noses.

Left to right Sabre, Whisper, Tundra, Tsunami, Halcyon, Shadow King Cheetah/lion thing , Cougar , Clouded Leopard , Bengal Tiger, Snow Leopard, Melanistic Jaguar Side note is, it's not as good as I want it to be, but well it'll do. I really miss spending time on art. I wish I had the time to draw and just in general illustrate. It's true that you don't realize what you have until it's gone.

New "inking" technique by Whisper Panthress

This was actually all done in pencil with a few photoshop and illustrator fixes. I think the techniques by hellcorpceo, Kelly Hamilton, and Makani were very helpful. Not to mention my colleagues at work discussed how to properly set keyboard short cuts. So rather than spending the 2-3 hours inking in high res, I can spend tops 15 minutes penciling, a few actions, and some photoshop cleanup :) Of course having the time to do real inking would be nice too. :P

Sabre Side by Whisper Panthress

I'm very disappointed with the time I spent on tweaking the lineart and the result. While it's still faster than say using illustrator or painter I feel the results are soso especially when compared to others who "ink" in pencil. The only saving grace is the fact he does look very much like a king cheetah with a wee bit of lion here
